Don't Touch the Kitchen Witch's Daughter

A retired dragon queen suffers humiliation to protect her vulnerable daughter.

Vespera, once the most fearsome Dragon Sovereign, surrendered her power to raise her magically vulnerable daughter in a palace kitchen disguised as a scullery maid. Daily, arrogant paladins kick her, douse her with swill, and hurl insults, yet she never retaliates, prioritizing her child's concealment. The arrangement collapses when the High Inquisitor raises his blade toward the screaming girl for a dark blood sacrifice, triggering Vespera's dormant dragon heritage to explode in fury.
