Checkmate: The Betrayal

A husband finds his decade-long marriage undone by the student he sponsored.

Derek Green believed his ten-year marriage to Ivy Hill was solid until a chance discovery exposed her pregnancy by Kevin Payne, the disadvantaged student whose education Derek quietly financed. The scholarship checks he sent became the very bridge that brought betrayal into his home. Now Derek faces the collapse of the trust he built his life around, confronting a wife who repaid generosity with deceit and a young man whose opportunity came at the cost of his marriage.
