An Alpha rejects her mate to become Queen, unaware her power is borrowed and the King watches.
Frostfang Alpha Isla publicly rejects her designated mate Kael, dismissing him as wolfless to chase the crown of Lycan King's Luna. Kael accepts the rejection silently and leaves pack territory. As the competitive Luna Trials commence, Isla discovers the authority she wields was never truly her own, while the monarch she seeks to impress observes from far closer than she suspects. The mate she discarded and the throne she covets are converging on a collision course.
