Never Forgive, Never Forget

A woman loses everything after her rescue of a blind man is stolen by a rival.

Three years after Zoe pulled blind Carter from death and pressed a bullet necklace into his hand as a vow, Ava stepped forward to claim the rescue and sealed a double blood oath with him. Branded a fraud, Zoe suffered a gunshot to her right hand from Carter himself. Later, during a kidnapping, he chose Ava, a decision that cost Zoe the child she carried. At Carter's coronation, an ancient Godmother exposed the deception, prompting Zoe to burn the oath tattoo from her skin while Carter broke down in remorse.
