The Neglected Wife

Wife loses baby after husband defends mistress, then finds love with his rival.

En route to a prenatal visit, Sharon Hughes strikes Joyna Roy with her car, instantly exposing the affair between Joyna and Sharon's husband, Ryan Young. Instead of remorse, Ryan defends his mistress, while Sharon's best friend Ava Hayes admits she concealed the betrayal. Joyna then fabricates a child-endangerment charge against Sharon, provoking Ryan to inflict calculated cruelty that causes Sharon to miscarry. Devastated, Sharon divorces Ryan and accepts a position at the firm of his business rival, Gael Wood. As Ryan's company collapses without her, he attempts to reclaim her, but Sharon refuses. Meanwhile, Joyna suffers her own loss, blames Sharon, and hires an assassin, leading to Joyna's arrest and death sentence. Under Gael's care, Sharon recovers, they marry, and welcome a daughter.
